It's a two-hour, deeply immersive encounter with some of Australia's most impressive working draught horses — on the same property they've called home for decades. Sessions run at 10am, accommodate up to 50 people, and are suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups of all kinds.
Where Is Bulahdelah on the Mid North Coast?
Bulahdelah sits at the southern gateway of the Mid North Coast, roughly halfway between Sydney and Port Macquarie. It's the town you pass through on the Pacific Motorway when heading north from Newcastle or south from Taree — and it's far more worth stopping for than most people realise.
The Mid North Coast stretches from roughly the Hunter Valley and Newcastle in the south through to Port Macquarie and beyond in the north. Key towns in the region include Bulahdelah, Taree, Forster-Tuncurry, Kempsey and Port Macquarie — and Bulahdelah is centrally positioned for visitors coming from any of them.
Exit the Pacific Motorway at Bulahdelah. From the town centre it's just a few minutes to the farm. Coach and car parking available on site. Easy for groups arriving by bus or people on self-drive Mid North Coast road trips — we're right on the main route.

Every session runs for two hours starting at 10am. There are no half-measures — this is a proper, structured experience that takes you through every aspect of life with working Clydesdale horses.

How far is Bulahdelah from Port Macquarie?
Port Macquarie is approximately 2 hours south of Bulahdelah via the Pacific Motorway. It's a very manageable day trip — head down in the morning for the 10am session, then take the scenic coastal route back through Taree and Forster if you have the afternoon free.
How far is it from Forster and Taree?
Forster is around 40 minutes from Bulahdelah, and Taree is approximately 45 minutes via the Pacific Highway. Both are very popular starting points for a day visit. Taree visitors often stop for coffee at the Bulahdelah Bakery before coming out to the farm.
Can we book a group visit?
Absolutely. We accommodate groups up to 50 people and welcome community clubs, retirement outings, touring groups, family reunions, and similar gatherings. The Bulahdelah Tourist Information Centre (5 minutes away) also has accessible public facilities.
