Pull in and let the group stretch their legs before the session. The Tourist Information Centre has clean bathrooms, good coffee, and friendly staff who know the town well. A calm and easy start to the morning.

The Famous Bulahdelah Bakery

The Bulahdelah Bakery has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way. Locals swear by it, visitors come back for it. Grab something before the farm — or pick up a pie for the drive home. Either way, don't skip it.

The Session

What Happens on the Day

A 2-hour session starting at 10am. Here's how the morning runs.

Arrival & Introduction

Your group arrives and is introduced to Dusty May, Hercules, Jax and Murphy. Four Clydesdales with very different personalities — the introductions alone are worth the drive.

Live Working Demonstration

Watch the Clydesdales put through a genuine working demonstration. These are bred-to-work horses, and seeing them move under harness is a sight that stops cameras and conversations in equal measure.

Heavy Horse Harness Display

A full working heavy horse harness laid out for your group to touch and handle — leather collar, hames, traces, the lot. Living history you can hold in your hands. Your guide walks you through every piece.

Meet, Feed & Photograph

Everyone gets personal time with the horses — feeding by hand, patting, photos. These are not small animals and the photos will prove it. Bring your phone charged and bring carrots.

Questions & Interaction

Plenty of time to linger, ask questions and enjoy the farm. Nobody gets rushed off the property. This is your morning — take it at your own pace.

Meet the Horses

This Is Jax

Jax is one of four Clydesdales you'll meet on the day — alongside Dusty May, Hercules and Murphy. Each one has a distinct character, and you'll figure out which is which within about five minutes of arriving.

These are working animals with genuine history behind them. Over 30 years of experience goes into every session. You won't find a closer or more accessible experience anywhere near Forster.

Wheelchair accessible, undercover seating, walker frames welcome — the farm is set up so everyone in the group can fully participate from start to finish.
